Algorithms

Algorithm problems have run alongside my career since university – on LeetCode for the last few years, and on Timus at Ural Federal University before that.

2,478problems solved

Guardiantop 0.87% by contest rating
88contests entered

I started on 19 June 2021, a few months after moving to Canada, and solved a problem every day until December 2025 – 1,630 days without a break. Most of them in Kotlin, the same language I write Android in: 1,892 of the 2,478.

Alongside the daily practice I entered 88 timed contests. A rating of 2,208 placed me in the Guardian tier, ranked 6,603 out of 800,234.

I wrote about the approach at three points along the way – what changed once the easy problems ran out, and how the routine held up over years rather than weeks.
